Ghosty is an offline music player. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your data.
Ghosty has no account system and does not upload your music, playlists, or listening data — playback is fully offline and files stay on your device. The app does use two third-party services, Google AdMob (for ads) and RevenueCat (for in-app purchases), which are described below.
None. Ghosty itself has no backend server and does not independently collect, store, or transmit personal data. Any data handling described below comes from the third-party SDKs the app integrates.
Ghosty uses Google AdMob to show ads. AdMob may collect device and advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID), IP address, and general usage data to serve and measure ads, and it may use this data for personalization unless you've limited ad tracking in your device settings. This data is processed by Google under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Ghosty uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. If you make a purchase, RevenueCat processes purchase data (such as product purchased, transaction ID, and price) and a device/user identifier to validate and track entitlement to purchased features. Payment details themselves are handled by Google Play's billing system, not by Ghosty or RevenueCat directly. RevenueCat's own privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Ghosty requests access to your device's media/storage to find and play audio files you already have. This permission is used only to read local files and is never used to upload file contents or metadata.
Playlists, play history, download status, and app settings are stored in the app's local storage on your device. Uninstalling the app removes this data.
Ghosty does not sell your data. Data is shared only with the two third-party services above (AdMob for ads, RevenueCat for purchases), each acting under its own privacy policy, and only to the extent needed for them to function.
Ghosty is not directed at children under 13. If Ghosty is used by a child, ad personalization and data collection through AdMob are subject to Google's policies for child-directed treatment where applicable.
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised and the new policy will be published at this same location.
